R1 266 449 OSD (all-inclusive)

Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric plus NQF 7 BEng / BSc Eng (SAQA recognised)
    • 6 years post-qualification experience as a registered Professional Engineer
    • ECSA registration as Professional Engineer (compulsory)
    • Valid driver’s licence (except persons with disabilities)
    • Generic competencies: strategic leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, team leadership, creativity, financial mgmt., customer focus, communication, computer skills, people mgmt., planning, conflict mgmt., negotiation, change mgmt.
    • Technical competencies: programme/project mgmt., engineering/legal/operational compliance, engineering design & analysis, computer-aided engineering, technical consulting, maintenance, R&D, high-performance culture

Duties

    • Final review & approval/audit of engineering designs
    • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design integration with current technology
    • Pioneer new engineering services & management methods
    • Maintain engineering operational effectiveness & set maintenance standards/specifications/service levels
    • Manage MTEF budget & capital project portfolio for engineering services
    • Manage commercial value-add of engineering programmes/projects
    • Compile & oversee risk logs, ensure sound risk-management practice
    • Provide technical consulting to minimise engineering risks
    • Implement knowledge-sharing initiatives (secondments, assignments) aligned to IDP & ROI
    • Manage human resources: development, motivation, performance standards & corrective actions
