R193 359 – R227 766 per annum (Level 04)

Requirements

    Grade 12 or equivalent; Basic Computer Certificate advantageous; no experience required; valid driver’s licence advantageous. Skills & competencies: knowledge of clerical duties & data-capture, switchboard/alarm systems, MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), office administration, legislative framework, Batho Pele Principles. All shortlisted candidates will undertake a pre-entry practical exercise & driving test.

Duties

    Ensure switchboard is maintained at all times. Maintain telephone database, provide messaging services, maintain effective performance of answering direct calls, maintain internal telephone directory. Provide switchboard services to all clients, assist with any telephone-related duties required by management, attend to high-priority calls & forward calls to relevant business units, identify & report telephone faults via email, maintain functional telephone system, ensure switchboard & telephone equipment is in working order. Report all faults to technical service providers & to information-services unit within the department. Update & maintain accurate contacts & information list of services, departments, staff members & application requirements. Administer telephone accounts. Ensure effective & efficient communication both internally & externally. Provide accurate information to clients.
